FINNISH SAUNA
The sauna is also called a Finnish sauna. For a long time, the life of a traditional Finnish family revolved around a sauna. Women came to the sauna to give birth, the sick to recover, the elderly to die. After all, the sauna is not only cleaner than the operating room. It is incomparably more comfortable in a room carved out of wooden planks. The temperature of a traditional sauna reaches 90-130°C, the humidity is only 5-20%, so the body sweats heavily and removes everything unnecessary. Incidentally, in a dry sauna, it is not difficult to withstand high temperatures.
How to use the Finnish sauna
► You should go to the sauna after showering and wipe yourself dry.
► The hottest part of the sauna room is at the top. If you are a beginner or find it difficult to handle the heat, sit on a middle bench. It is not worth sitting on the lower, coolest bench, as it takes a long time before you start to sweat.
► It is best to lie down in the sauna. If this is not possible, place at least your feet on the bench so that they are at the same height as your buttocks.
► If you feel dizzy after the sauna, sit on the bottom bench for a few minutes before leaving the heated room.
► Are you going to dance in the cold water pool? Don't forget to shower beforehand. Climbing into the pool without showering is downright unhygienic.
► It is not advisable to swim in a cold pool for a long time: the water pressure damages the dilated blood vessels.
► If you go back into the sun, it is advisable to dry yourself off again. There is no need to turn the sauna into a steam bath.
► During a sauna visit, do not go into the heated room more than 2-3 times and do not stay longer than 15-20 minutes.
CHROMOTHERAPY - Colour therapy as a treatment for mental and physical health problems
Colour therapy, also known as chromotherapy, is a form of therapy that uses colour and light to treat certain mental and physical health problems. Although colour therapy has gained popularity over the years, it is still not a widely accepted form of therapy in Western medicine. Many medical experts consider it experimental.
What is colour therapy?
The basic premise of colour therapy is that different colours evoke different reactions in each individual. A lack of a certain colour in your body is believed to be responsible for your personal situation. According to Indian philosophy, the seven main colours on the colour wheel strengthen the chakras of our body.
Colour therapists believe that colour can enter our bodies through our eyes or through our skin. Each colour we can see has its unique wavelength with specific effects on a person. Warm colours usually have stimulating effects, while cool colours are used for calming effects.
The most commonly used colours in colour therapy are:
* Red: Red is used to energize someone who feels tired or down. However, red can also trigger people who are already stressed, and therefore it is used with caution.
* Blue: Chromotherapists use blue to treat depression and pain. Darker shades of blue are also said to have calming properties and can help with insomnia or other sleep disorders.
* Green: Green is the colour of nature, and according to chromotherapists, this colour can help relieve stress and help to relax.
* Yellow: Yellow is used to improve mood and stimulate feelings of happiness.
* Orange: Orange, like yellow, can help evoke happy emotions in people. The bright warm colour is also believed to stimulate appetite and mental activity.
HEMLOCK WOOD
Hemlock wood is known for its natural beauty, excellent impregnability, and versatile applications in sauna interiors, ceilings, and facade joinery.
Its striking characteristic lies in the warm, reddish-brown tones that accentuate its grain and give a rustic charm to any space. Due to its high resin content, it is also highly resistant to decay and moisture, which contributes to its durability and suitability for humid environments.
These properties make Hemlock wood a favourite option to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of interior spaces, from saunas and ceilings to architectural joinery.
